Our History
1992
Palmetto Rock Services, Inc. is founded as a specialty subcontractor to provide comprehensive rock drilling and blasting services to the construction and mining industries in the Carolinas and Georgia with Mr. Hase Broom and all his expertise, experience, and leadership at the helm.
2000
We perform our first major highway drilling and blasting subcontract for the new J. Verne Smith Parkway project in Greer, SC.
2007
We perform our first major power industry drilling and blasting project at Cliffside Steam Station in Cliffside, NC.
2009
We provided drilling and blasting services for two new nuclear reactors—VC Summer Units 2 & 3—in Jenkinsville, SC.
2016
We acquire and use a Unitronic 600 Electronic Blasting System on a highly sensitive drilling and blasting project at the Oconee Nuclear Station in Seneca, SC
2022
We surpassed 20 full time employees and continue to expand throughout the Southeast.
